How to Delete Browsing History on Chromebook

How to Delete Browsing History on Chromebook

If you don’t want to save browsing history on your Chromebook, you can go Incognito. But, all the time, it is not possible to use the Incognito Mode. So, it is also important to know; how to delete browsing history from a Chromebook.

Here are the steps you can follow to do so:

Step 1: Open the Google Chrome browser on your Chromebook. If you are using the older version of the Google Chrome browser, you can update your Chrome OS to update the Chrome browser. For new features and security updates, always keep your browser up-to-date.

Step 2: Now, click on the three-dot icon. You will find it in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Here, you will find a context menu. Hover over the “History” option and select “History” in the menu that appears. Or use the Ctrl + H keyboard shortcut. You can also visit chrome://history on your address bar to open the Chrome history.

Step 4: To delete Chromebook browsing history by a website. Click on the “Chrome History” tab and select the specific website you want to delete. Then click on the “Delete” button to clear the chrome history.

Step 5: You’ll get a confirmation window. Just click the “Remove” button when you’re ready to clear your Chromebook browsing history.

How to Delete Browsing Data from your Chromebook

The above method will only delete the Chromebook browsing history that you have selected. If you want to delete all the browsing data such as – browsing history, download history, Cookies, Cached, and more from your Chromebook. Then follow the below steps:

Step 1: To delete the browsing data from your Chromebook. Click on the “Clear Browsing Data” tab.

Step 2: Here you will get two tabs “Basic” and “Advanced.” To delete the browsing history, cookies, and cached, click on the “Basic” tab.

Note:- You can also use the advanced tab if you want to delete the save passwords and site settings.
